So today, I made some shadow puppets…..
Don’t worry, I don’t know why either?? But yes, the Superman can move up and down as if he is taking off/landing and no, I don’t believe this will be a useful, desirable or even transferable skill to have after I graduate from University.
Can you tell that I am again semi displeased with the project we were given today? It’s becoming a bit of a trend of late, hay?
My annoyance is more to do with the fact that we are, for lack of a better word, wasting time on these ‘Arts & Crafts’ projects instead of learning skills that future employers will be looking for, such as digital skills, familiarity with design software, developing a story board, etc…. I feel I have used a Stanley knife more than my pencil so far.
I was even told that my idea to make it more 3D and have layers to it was to complex and I should just do it as a flat image essentially….. I didn’t listen to that advice entirely, oopps!!
Yes it is the first year but why not start those sort of things now? Will give me more time to get a better grasp on it all and to become proficient in them surely?
Maybe I am just being overly critical and finding fault when instead I should just get on with it and enjoy the easy nature of the assignments whilst I still can?
However, after reading the above sentence back to myself, I am pretty sure that is not the correct attitude or way it should be. Correct me if I am wrong though please, as I am kind of lazy really.
